Publications

Amaze produces a range of publications that are designed to give parent carers the information they need, when they need it, in a variety of formats to suit their preferred way of reading.

Our handbooks, Through the Maze and Through the Next Maze, are detailed guides to the journey parents may face as their child moves through health services, education, benefits systems, social care, growing up and much more. You will find chapters to download in this section, or you can order copies through the Amaze helpline. Our research and training branch, ART, also produces a guide to resilient therapy called Bouncing Back and has more recently produced Mental Health and the Resilient Therapy Toolkit, a publication written by young people for any parent concerned about their child's mental health.

Our newsletter, Out of Amaze, is distributed once a school term and allows us to keep parents up to date with all the latest news, events and opportunities for parents of children with special needs and disabilities in Brighton and Hove.

Our fact sheets are handy downloadable documents about specific issues such as bullying, claiming DLA or choosing a school.

We've put together a collection of Amaze's key leaflets, so you can download them easily.

We also produce a number of reports on specific issues and manuals to accompany our training courses. We have also selected a number of Amaze policies and relevant policies from key service providers in the city.
