Running for Amaze
Rachel Crean - jubilant after completing Brighton Marathon 2011 in just 3 hours 30 minutes
Join an Amaze running team and make your race really count! Running for Amaze means all the effort you put in to training and raising money gets to stay in the local area and make a real difference to families in Brighton and Hove with disabled children.
You can run for Amaze if you have your own place or you can take an Amaze charity place. The sponsorship target for the charity places varies in keeping with other charities. Amaze have to pay for our chairty places and these are limited. There is no set target for own place runners and we always encourage runners to get their own place if possible. We will provide you with training and fundraising tips, plenty of support and motivation and of course your Amaze running vest.
Please contact Nicky on 01273 234020 for more details, or email nickyb@amazebrighton.org.uk Nicky will be pleased to answer any questions and send you a running pack.
We will be with you every step of the way including on the actual day when staff, volunteers, friends and family join Amaze cheering points.
COULD YOU TAKE THE TRIPLE CHALLENGE AND RUN ALL 3 RACES?
Please spread the word about Amaze and help us grow our running teams! Thank you.
"A huge thank you for all your support and encouragement on Marathon day! Especially to Helen for whooping so enthusiastically at the start, Ros for her shouts from mile 14 and the lovely lot at Ovingdean who were wonderful. It was also really special to get to the finish line and find you waiting to welcome us! You won't believe this but the first thing we did when we hobbled downstairs was to enter for Amaze next year " Sonya Hutchinson.
"I just wanted to say that the Amaze cheering team on the day of the marathon were brilliant. I've run for a couple of charities in the past and never had such good support, as I got from your charity" Nicola Heron.
